Western Anesthesiology Associates, Inc. (“WAAI”) is a collegial and established practice serving a variety of locations throughout the greater St. Louis region. Our organization has provided perioperative care for patients at Mercy Hospital (formerly St. John’s Mercy) in suburban St. Louis for over 50 years.  More recently, we’ve expanded to currently include Mercy Hospital-Washington, Mercy Hospital-Lincoln, several local ambulatory surgery centers, three pain management offices, and numerous office-based practices throughout the area.

We also host several social events annually helping to connect our WAAI community and subgroups. The professional group, consisting of doctors, certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs), certified anesthesiologist assistants (CAAs), nurses (RNs), nurse practitioners (NPs), physician assistants (PAs), and other health professionals, emphasizes the team concept when providing medical care. We’re looking for dedicated physicians, CRNAs, and AAs to join our team of over 150 anesthesiology professionals for full-time, part-time, and per diem roles to staff our growing hospitals and ASCs.  Our comprehensive compensation and benefits plan includes 401k with employer contribution, profit sharing, call stipends, CME allowance, HSA, and paid malpractice and disability coverage.  Our group affords scheduling flexibility and case variety, and shareholder track opportunities are available for physicians.

Our talented team provides care encompassing a broad spectrum of adult, pediatric, and obstetric procedures. Specialized programs include: a diverse spectrum of general surgery such as burn reconstruction, bariatric, robotic, and thoracic surgery; pediatric surgery including ENT, plastics, urology, orthopedics, and general surgery; anesthesia for non-OR locations including state-of-the-art I.R. and endoscopy suites; cardiovascular procedures including a structural heart program, valvular and coronary bypass surgery, & open and endovascular aortic surgery; a flourishing regional anesthesia and acute pain service; and our pre-anesthesia consultation clinic (“PACE”).
